Welcome to the 1st Beaumaris Sea Scout Group. The Group was formed in 1948 operating a cub and scout group. In 1955 our Scout Hall was built in Bodley Street, Beaumaris. The Hall is regarded as being the best in the district following a massive refurbishment program carried out in 2005. Today the Group has Cubs, Scouts and Venturers, and is one of the strongest groups in the bayside area.
Scouting is a growing world wide youth movement with over 25 million members and over 80,000 in Australia. Scouting focuses on young people from 6 to 26 years of age and provides them with opportunities for fun and adventure as well as helping them to develop skills, gain self-confidence and learn teamwork and initiative.
Young males and females can progress through four Scouting sections - Cub Scouts, Scouts, Venturers and Rovers, or can start in any section depending on their ages. Scouts are supported by a Group Committee made up of interested parents and other adults in the community. As Scouts gain maturity and experience, they are encouraged to take on more responsibility for organising and overseeing their own activities.
Being close to the bay, we are fortunate enough to have a wide range of water activities conducted from our boat shed on the beach front of Beaumaris.
Section Programs available from Section Leaders.
